Fall 2025: Promoting Climate Justice Through Public Health & Social Work Partnerships, 11/4, 12-1pm

UW CIPE is excited to invite Public Health and Social Work students to “Promoting Climate Justice Through Public Health & Social Work Partnerships,” an interprofessional lunch-and-learn taking place on November 4, 2025, 12-1pm, at UW-Madison’s Carson Gulley Center, located at 1515 Tripp Circle.

This new learning offering will join master’s students in UW-Madison’s Public Health and Social Work programs for an exciting lecture, small-group discussion, and complimentary lunch. School of Nursing Professor Jessica LeClair, PhD, MPH, RN, will share insights on the state of planetary health and climate justice movements, available state, national, and international resources, among other topics, after which interprofessional groups of students will discuss the intersections between social determinants of health and climate justice.

Free lunch will be provided to invited Public Health and Social Work students. Public Health students currently enrolled in PH 782 are automatically enrolled in this event. Social Work students may register now via the following link: https://bit.ly/MPH-SWDyadSUP

“Promoting Climate Justice Through Public Health & Social Work Partnerships” is the second interprofessional dyad offering presented by UW CIPE. This dyad model premiered last fall with “Paws and Prescribers”, an interactive panel discussion that joined current doctoral students enrolled in UW-Madison’s Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine programs. “Paws and Prescribers” returns for its second year on September 17, 2025.
