UW CIPE would like to introduce and welcome Jiawei Zou who joined UW CIPE in January as a Student Data Analyst. Jiawei, who is originally from China, is a first-year master’s student majoring in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics at UW–Madison. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in May 2022 where he double majored in Economics (BA) and Statistics & Actuarial Science (BS). In his own words, Jiawei “loves economics, statistics, and data analysis, and that’s why I chose this major.” Outside of the academic field, Jiawei enjoys swimming and trained for 12 years, as well as plays the saxophone and violin.
In his own words, Jiawei is “looking forward to meeting everyone, practicing my data analytics skills, and starting this new career chapter in UW CIPE!” The UW CIPE appreciates the insights Jiawei has already brought to UW CIPE and we look forward to his additional insights, expertise, and data-minded thinking that will contribute to numerous UW CIPE projects, including the IPE Systematic Evaluation and feedback from event evaluations.
Welcome to UW CIPE, Jiawei!
