Welcome: UW CIPE IPE Healthy Aging Initiative Project Coordinator, Susan Switzer, MA, CIC!

Headshot of Susan SwitzerUW CIPE would like to introduce and welcome Susan Switzer, MA, CIC who joined UW CIPE in May 2024 as the IPE Healthy Aging Initiative (IPE-HAI) Project Coordinator with UW CIPE as part of the BOLD 2.0 Grant. Susan has already jumped in and has started working towards sustaining and coordinating the IPE-HAI for Academic Year 2024-2025 with both the Advanced Dementia Interprofessional Clinical Simulation (ADICS) and the IPL Dementia Caregiving Badge.  Susan is also helping to develop, plan, and coordinate the newest IPE- HAI opportunity, Healthy Brain Healthy Aging.

Below is a bit about Susan:

Susan Switzer, MA, CIC, brings a wide array of experiences to her role as the project coordinator for the UW CIPE IPE Healthy Aging Initiative as funded through the Building Our Largest Dementia 2.0 Grant (BOLD 2.0). Susan holds a Master of Communication degree and has experience as an educator, journalist, editor, actor, and director. As a seasoned standardized patient with the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), she has found being part of the education process rewarding. She looks forward to coordinating the effort to expand students’ knowledge in the world of dementia caregiving and to working with other people who are passionate about the aging brain!
