Fall 2025: Native Nations, Helpers, & Healers Summit 10th Anniversary

On Friday, November 7, the UW-Madison School of Nursing will host the Native Nations Nursing, Helpers, & Healers Summit, for its 10th Anniversary edition organized around the theme “Culture as Medicine.” Students, faculty, health care and global health professionals, and community members are invited to attend and share collaborative approaches to address the health and well-being of Indigenous communities, incorporate Indigenous wisdom, and promote planetary health.

The summit is headlined by keynote speaker Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer, author of New York Times bestseller Braiding Sweetgrass and and one of TIME‘s 100 Most Influential People of 2025. Podium speakers include Dr. Amy DeLong and Mike Wiggins.

Event organizers are offering continuing education credit for nursing, medicine, social work, psychology, and physician assistant practitioners as well as for registered dieticians.
