The UW Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (UW CIPE) and the UW–Madison Teaching Academy are excited to announce the first recipient of the Joint Dual UW CIPE and Teaching Academy IPE Distinguished Fellowship. Corissa Lotta, PhD, has been recognized for her excellence in IPE teaching, practice, research, and leadership at UW–Madison and beyond. The Joint Distinguished IPE Fellowship Award is for five years with a possibility for renewal as a life-long UW IPE Distinguished Fellow.
Dr. Lotta has a PhD in Counseling Psychology and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Counseling Psychology at the UW–Madison since 2000. She is also an instructor in the School of Veterinary Medicine where she designed, developed, and teaches a course on clinical communication skills. Dr. Lotta is also active working with the UW CIPE on the Interprofessional Communication Competency Module and is a member of the UW CIPE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Taskforce.
